Good morning bookworms and bookdragons! Honestly, I missed you! Had to get a few days off work to be able to write again! Well, here I am now, and fingers crossed it won't take so much time for the next article to appear! After all, there's been so much on my mind lately, I have to put them on paper/pixels. Lol!
Only a significant reason would force me to save that time to inform you .. about .., The new upcoming book of David Cave! I know you all loved the previous one! I sure did! Still reopening it a few times every month! Well.., I have to! It's a great work, there on my shelf to be admirred from time to time!
About the second work of the series now..
It is titled "Stories of the Earth" and to be honest there wouldn't be a better title for me to be so eager for its' release! I consider myself a child of the Earth and all its mysteries! An old soul as the mountains and with a consciousness as bold as the beauty of the sea underneath a storm!
"Stories of the Earth"!!! I can't wait to see what's inside David's head about the Earth! Because you know, everyone's having their own idea about things, their own perspectives and views. And so far, David has amazed me!!! Such classy yet fresh angles of things! Rebellious yet ancient!
I managed to get some information from mr. Cave about the upcoming book, so here it is! The illustrations are not yet finished BUT the artist will be Steven Wilson. For those who know him, you better look him up guys and gals, because this person has indeed something important to say through his works!!! I was jumping up and down like a child when the news of an upcoming book hit me! Thank you again David for the honor , appreciation and choice! Hehehe!
I'm only allowed to share with you one illustration from the book, leaving you all in anticipation, cause that's who I am! lol
And now I'll give you a glimpse of the most anticipated second book in series... by the title "The Cinnamon Arcade" ...
The Cinnamon Arcade
How sweet are the rebuffed?
Turned away like rotting fruit,
Miss Understanding, Miss Led,
Struck with words so sharp they pierce,
If not my body then my mind,
If not my mind then my means,
How should this be so?
Do I not scream when dragged bloodied
From the womb?
Do I not cry when my heart is broken?
Mr Chance, Mr Life,
Built within the paunch of trouble and strife,
Caught in a net of slander and lies,
Once is never enough and thrice, too much.
Murderous tyke, you are lower than I,
For all your privilege, you stink of hell,
You bathe in death,
Your soul is black and withered
And dipped in a history of lies,
Yet I could never hate you,
Ms Rabble, Master Bate,
A lifetime may you kick, squeal and squander,
As I wait in peace,
Our paths shall cross one final time
And the weight of our sins may speak,
To beat our skin like cinnamon.
As you can see my friends.. it justifies my eagerness to get it into my hands and finally my book collection, never to be forgotten! I admit I'm a fan of David Cave, since his previous work which you can all find in the link that follows:
You'll find an introduction to his work and many more to get acquainted with a small fragment I managed to extract of what and who is David Cave!
I hope you'll all enjoy it as much as I did and look forward for this new upcoming and so promising sequel of mr. Cave's "Stygian Poetry", his second book "Stories of Earth"!
Don't forget, knowledge is power and power is within us!
